Craft & Folk Art Museum Homebrew Event

There is a special event next month put together by club member Gregory Nylen for the Craft & Folk Art Museum in Los Angeles.  For one evening, they are inviting homebrewers from the local clubs to share the fruits of their labors with fellow brewers and introduce the craft to those not as familiar with the hobby of homebrewing.  It will be a nice warm-up to our Summer Party the following weekend as well!

Time: 5 p.m. on Sunday July 15th, running until 8 p.m. or so

Where: Craft & Folk Art Museum 5814 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90036 – (323) 937-4230.  More info at their website: http://www.cafam.org/

Bring: One or two styles to share, preferably in keg, though bottles will work as well, and any friends interested in sampling homebrew or learning about it.  Gregory will give a brief spiel about the craft of brewing and have some ingredients on display, but there will be an opportunity for other brewers to talk about their specific beers as well.

Food: The gourmet hot dog food truck, Let’s Be Frank, will have a cart inside the museum to pair with the selection of homebrews.

Cost: $10 for CAFAM members, $15 for non-members, and includes admission to the museum.  Brewers who bring beer for sampling will of course get free admission (and a dog!).  They will also have some snacks and a DJ.

Contact: Gregory Nylen ([email protected]) if you are interested in participating and let him know what types of homebrew you plan to bring, if it is kegged or bottled, and how many people plan to come with you.

Have a great time!
