CLUB MEETING @ CCHBS: APRIL 19TH, 7PM – SCOTTISH, IRISH, AND ENGLISH ALES
From mild session ales to Wee Heavies, this meeting’s tasting will have something for everyone. Bring your Category 9s (Scottish and Irish ales) for the Club-Only competition judging too.
PASADENA PUB CRAWL WITH THE YEASTSIDE BREWERS: SATURDAY, APRIL 21ST, 4PM TO ???
In the first of many future joint events, we’re meeting our Eastern brewing brethren for fine ales at Congregation Ale House, Haven Gastropub, Dog Haus Biergarten, and the venerable Lucky Baldwins. Ride the Gold Line!
SO. CAL. HOMEBREWERS FESTIVAL: LAKE CASITAS, OJAI – MAY 4TH TO MAY 6TH

SECOND SATURDAY @ EAGLE ROCK BREWERY: 3056 ROSWELL STREET, LA – MAY 12TH – 4PM
We’ve not visited this now 2-year old brewery as a club, so let’s get out there already! The Yeastsiders are having their monthly meeting there that afternoon, so crashing observing their proceedings is encouraged.

Hop withdrawal? This meeting is sure to cure what ales you. Bitterness never tasted so…bitter.

BIG BREW @ CARL’S HOUSE: 3621 REDWOOD AVE, LA – MAY 26TH, 10 AM TO 6PM
Join us for another multiple-brewer event at Brewmaster Carl’s house. Focus should be on brewing beers for the Summer Party – we’ll need a lot! If you’re nice, Carl may even bust out the Thermosiphon Reboiler.
FIRST FRIDAY @ THE CARRIAGE HOUSE TAP ROOM: 2379 21ST STREET, LA – JUNE 1ST, 7PM TO 11PM
Dan & Anne Hakes are hosting us at their lovely home for another great First Friday. The beers will be flowing from the Carriage House’s taps – bring some to share, too! Potluck welcomed and encouraged.
ORANGE COUNTY BREWERY ROAD TRIP: SATURDAY, JUNE 9TH – 11AM TO 5PM

*April 22nd*: CALL FOR JUDGES AND STEWARDS! Mayfaire Competition Preliminary Judging, 5PM at CCHBS. They got a ton of entries and would appreciate our help. See Carl’s recent post for more information.
June: AHA Nationals Finals. Did you advance? Hope you held on to one more bottle…
July: LA County Fair. Entry deadline to be announced.
September: Pacific Brewers Cup. The Strand Club is hosting this year’s comp. Brew some up for this!
October: California State Fair. Details TBA.
