Top of the mornin’ to ya! Keeping with Pacific Gravity tradition, March’s Frist Friday will be held @ IRISH TIMES in Palms.

Join us on March 7, 2014 @ 6:30pm. Share a dirty limrick, share a pint, grab some grub, and get warmed up for St. Pat’s day. Happy hour runs till 7pm and there will be LIVE music starting @ 9pm.

Also, If you made February’s First Friday you’ll have another chance to redeem yoursleves. I’m bringing back the “Guess the ______” game. Where correct answers could get you a pint on me!

February’s First Friday (2/7/14) will be held at CITY TAVERN Culver CIty! They have reserved seating for us in close proximity to the bar and will be granting Pacific Gravity members extended happy hour pricing on food and beverages (6:30p to 9:30p).

Happy New Year Pacific Gravity Members!  2014 is upon us and so is the First Friday of the New Year! 1/3/2014. This First Friday will be at THE GARAGE in Palms. The crew there is setting us up with some seating on the outside patio and extending happy hour pricing on food and brews till 9pm for all Pacific Gravity members. The drafts have some notable craft selections among the macros while their bottle selection gets craftier. Our seating and special pricing is available @ 6:30pm. Start the New Year off right and grab a pint with your fellow PacGrav members! First Friday at Steingarten

Join us for our October First Friday at Steingarten in the bar area to celebrate Oktoberfest!  As usual, the official start time is 7:00 PM, but many of us will be there earlier.

Steingarten is at 10543 W. Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064  They have a great selection of Brats to celebrate the occasion.

September First Friday this Sunday the 8th

Please join us this Sunday the 8th for our First Friday, (which is technically a second Sunday) at the new Yard House in Marina Del Rey.
We’ll be starting at 2 pm and will have tables set up inside next to the bar.
The Yard House boasts one of the largest tap selections around and they also offer a ‘Chalkboard Series’ of seasonal/rare beers on draft.

For those who haven’t been to this new location, there’s tons of free parking in the garage, which you can enter either on Maxella or Glencoe ave. There is also lots of bike parking in the garage if you’d rather arrive on two wheels.

First Friday June 7th at Cinco in Westchester

Hi members, just a quick announcement that this month’s First Friday will be at the newly opened Cinco, which has received good reviews so far from members who have sampled their wares.  They have a pretty extensive tap list focused on LA and OC breweries with a showing of old favorites in Southern California like Lost Abbey.  The menu is Latin driven small plates and is reasonably priced.  There is plenty of parking and they have reserved the lounge area for us.  Hope to see you on Friday!

First Friday – The Overland

Join us tonight for our first Friday event at The Overland in Palms.  Best know for their bottomless champagne brunch on the weekends, by day The Overland Cafe serves up breakfast and lunch to local residents and Culver City’s finest.  By night The Overland turns into a craft beer bar with a tap list originally selected by our own Tomm Carroll.  Our normal start time is 7 PM, but you should know about their ripping happy hour: 1/2 price beer and wine 4pm – 7pm & 9pm – close.

First Friday at Irish Times

Pre-celebrate St. Patty’s day with us at our local Irish dive.  They’ve got a good selection of European and local ales, and serve food.  I heard they once won an award for pouring the perfect pint of Guinness.  If you know the neighborhood, you know parking can be problematic as the night gets on.  We start at 7 PM or whenever you get done with work.

First Friday at Steingarten – February 1st

Our next first Friday event will be held at Steingarten LA on February 1st, starting at 7 PM.  If you have been with the club for a few years you will definitely remember the last time we went here.  Steingarten offers an extensive bottle list and a well curated tap selection   It also hosts a mixologist that has developed a menu of custom cocktails and even creates their own bitters.  I can personally vouch for the food, they offer a huge variety of standard, gourmet,  and game sausages and they do an excellent build your own burger.  There are salads and small plates for those who are so inclined.

Steingarten LA is extremely home brewer friendly.  They have given us dedicated space in the front room and I am certain that they will have appetizer and drink specials for us.  The last time we had a First Friday here we filled the front room to capacity and spilled out onto the benches in the main dining room.  I’ve never had trouble parking on Pico when I have visited, but be prepared to walk a block or two.  I certainly hope to see you there in February!

First Friday – Daily Pint

Happy New Year, Pacific Gravity!  I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday and that you all are looking forward to some fun and excitement in 2013,  I’m still putting together the calendar of events for 2013, so we don’t have a formal First Friday for today.  That said, I’ll be at the Daily Pint tonight at 7 PM, so please join me there if you feel the desire to hoist a glass or two.
